Calculating your example…

Why does adding files cost more?

Preparing your collection involves checking files, packaging them with preservation records, making storage copies, and keeping temporary working copies. Some related charges fall in the following month. This is not a flat setup fee.

Why does access affect the price?

Preserved files must be retrieved and prepared for use. Accessing one file can require preparing its larger preservation package. Sharing links can create additional work while they remain available, even without downloads.

Why does verification affect the price?

Verification compares files with their recorded digital fingerprints (checksums) to detect changes or corruption. An extra check reads the entire preservation package, so retrieving and reading that data adds to the cost. Checking more data, or checking it more often, costs more. Files are checked when added; extra checks are optional in More Options.

What is included?

This estimate includes modeled storage charges with Reliquary’s pricing applied. It excludes subscriptions and taxes. The examples preserve your files indefinitely; unusual activity is excluded unless specified.
